Why this matters for Naija bettors

Kickoff times in Nigeria are driven by the venue time zone. East Coast USA venues (New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami) put kickoffs in the 18:00 to 02:00 WAT window, the Naija prime-time sweet spot. West Coast venues (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle) push kickoffs to 22:00 to 05:00 WAT. Mexico City and Canadian venues sit in between.

For in-play betting, knowing the venue helps you plan. Are you betting from home? From a late-night viewing centre? Factor the local kickoff into every bet slip.

The final on 19 July at MetLife Stadium (capacity 82,500) kicks off at 21:00 WAT. Block the evening out.
